Project Finance Manager – Hydropower Project (Owner)

Overview

We are supporting a large, internationally financed infrastructure project in the appointment of a Project Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Project Finance Director, this role will play a pivotal part in the day-to-day management of project finance activities, with a particular focus on disbursements, lender and DFI coordination, compliance, and financial reporting.

The role offers broad exposure across financial close, construction, and operational phases, within a complex PPP and lender-governed environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage the disbursement process, ensuring funds are drawn and allocated in line with financing agreements and project requirements
• Act as a key financial interface with lenders, DFIs, and World Bank-aligned institutions, responding to queries and supporting ongoing compliance
• Monitor adherence to financing agreements, covenants, reporting obligations, and audit requirements
• Coordinate with shareholders’ finance teams to align reporting, forecasts, and financial updates
• Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, dashboards, and presentations for lenders and shareholders
• Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial and funding-related risks
• Contribute to clear and consistent financial communication across all stakeholders

Candidate Profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
• 7-10 years’ experience in project finance roles
• Strong experience with disbursements, lender relations, and compliance
• Solid understanding of PPP, DFI, and World Bank-style financing structures
• Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in English
