The International Environmental Specialist will provide critical support in sustainable finance, conducting environmental and biodiversity due diligence for diverse projects including oil and gas, renewable energy, and mining initiatives. Responsibilities include preparing impact assessments, developing ESG strategies, and managing data collection and reporting. Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s preferred, and have at least 5 years’ consulting experience in sustainable finance. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment are key.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in biology, environmental science, environmental finance, sustainable finance, environmental studies, engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of consulting experience in sustainable finance
- Good understanding of international development and/or environmental policy processes
- Experience working with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UN Guiding Principles, or World Bank IFC Performance Standards
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work products
