We’re partnering with a growing, private equity-backed renewables energy organization to hire a Director, Project Finance supporting a nationwide portfolio of public sector and federal projects.
This is a high-impact, front-office finance role at the intersection of project development, capital markets, and client engagement—ideal for someone who wants to help structure and execute complex financings tied to large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
The Opportunity

Note: This is not a traditional FP&A role—it’s client-facing and execution-driven.
What You’ll Do
- Structure and execute financings for energy and infrastructure projects
- Build and manage long-term financial models (~10 – 25 years)
- Support municipal, federal (ESPC/UESC), energy-as-a-service, and solar PPA financing structures
- Partner directly with sales teams and participate in client-facing discussions
- Present financing options to customers and support pursuit efforts (RFP/RFQ/RFI)
- Build relationships with lenders and capital providers to support deal execution
- Assist with portfolio oversight and capital strategy initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years in project finance, structured finance, infrastructure, or energy finance
- Experience with project-based / asset-backed financings
- Exposure to:
- Municipal / public sector finance (tax-exempt leasing preferred)
- Federal contracting structures (ESPC / UESC or similar)
- Infrastructure or energy project financing
- Strong Excel modeling and communication skills
- Comfortable in a client-facing, commercially driven role
