About the Role
The Senior FP&A Analyst plays a critical role in providing financial analysis, strategic insights, and decision-support to drive project success and operational excellence. This role manages key project financials, supports deal assessments, and champions initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Acting as a finance business partner, the Senior Analyst collaborates cross-functionally, leads financial reporting for strategic initiatives, drives automation, and contributes to achieving the organization’s finance objectives.
Responsibilities
Team Collaboration
• Coach and mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing across the Finance team.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and support broader Finance and organizational initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to achieving AGI Finance KPIs and long-term financial targets.
Operational & Project Finance Duties
• Prepare and deliver insightful financial analysis, executive summaries, and management reports.
• Support financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and month-end reporting activities.
• Lead complex financial assessments for strategic projects, including new product launches, discontinuations, acquisitions, and divestments.
• Manage project-specific financials, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with obligations.
• Support 5YP analysis and presentations for strategic business planning.
• Monitor and explain financial performance variances, providing clear, actionable insights to leadership.
• Develop holistic valuation models for impairment testing and business performance reviews.
• Apply sound accounting principles and internal controls in financial assessments and reporting.
• Actively drive process improvement initiatives, including automation (e.g., Power Automate, Planner) and P&L template standardization.
Expertise & Continuous Improvement
• Act as a subject matter expert, quickly quantifying financial impacts when assumptions or business conditions change.
• Champion efficiency initiatives to optimize resources and enhance reporting accuracy and timeliness.
• Support internal and external audit requirements, ensuring strong governance and compliance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, FMVA) preferred.
- 5-7 years of work experience
- 3+ years in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with direct project finance or business partnering experience.
- Experience in acquisitions, divestments, and post-deal integration is a plus.
- Solid understanding of COGs, TP, and Freight analysis.
- Prior experience in external auditing is a plus for broader accounting insight.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and strong financial data management skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling expertise.
