As a Manager on our Project Finance & M&A team in Sydney, you’ll be at the heart of the action. From advising on high-impact transactions to leading missions with autonomy, you’ll take full ownership of the execution process—whether it’s structuring project finance debt deals or steering complex M&A equity transactions. You’ll be the main point of contact for clients, partners, and internal teams, ensuring every mission runs smoothly from start to finish. Key responsibilities:
Project execution & financial structuring
- Lead or co-lead advisory missions, including M&A, debt structuring, and project finance transactions
- Deliver high-quality financial models and business case analyses, including model supervision and guidance for Analysts and Associates
- Conduct and manage financial due diligence workstreams with both internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare and review client-facing deliverables, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professionalism
Documentation & risk management
- Review and interpret key transaction documents (e.g. term sheets, SPAs, loan agreements, project contracts)
- Translate legal and commercial inputs into actionable model assumptions
- Coordinate with legal, technical, and commercial advisors to ensure project risk alignment
Team leadership & internal contribution
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to junior team members
- Lead by example in setting the standard for quality, time management, and professionalism
- Support internal initiatives, knowledge sharing, and process improvements
Client relationship & business development
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on your projects
- Build and maintain a strong professional network in the Australian renewable energy markets
- Participate in client pitches, commercial events, and external speaking opportunities
- Actively contribute to Green Giraffe’s presence and brand in the Australian energy transition space
What we’re looking for
- Master’s degree in finance, engineering, economics or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in project finance, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance
- Excellent financial modelling skills and strong understanding of project finance principles
- Proven expertise in the renewable energy sector is a strong asset, along with a keen interest in the sector
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and negotiation capabilities
- Clear communicator with the ability to present complex ideas simply
- Proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence in a multicultural setting
Package and application – Sydney
This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis in Sydney only. A competitive compensation package, including various benefits, will be provided. As part of the Sydney team, you can expect opportunities to travel to other Green Giraffe offices. You will also have the chance to grow and take on responsibility in a dynamic and rapidly evolving renewables market.
Salary range: AUD 150,000 – 190,000 per year including super, plus performance-based bonus.
