This role involves representing lenders and tax equity investors in complex renewable energy project finance transactions. Duties:

  • Represent lenders and tax equity investors in renewable energy project finance transactions.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review financing agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on project finance issues and renewable energy regulations.
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal and state laws related to renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop strategic solutions for complex legal challenges.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and interns, promoting a culture of learning and professional development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in renewable energy and project finance.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent) from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project finance, particularly in renewable energy transactions.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred; eligibility for admission will be considered.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong client relationships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent degree) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficient in project finance legal issues and renewable energy regulations.
