Principal Responsibilities

  • Support the programme execution of finance activities and ensures appropriate participation from all team members in the two legal entities
  • Works with wider finance, actuarial, investment and ALM teams and other Workstream Leads to execute activities, including representing finance function in the new system platform modernisation project as one of the key downstream function
  • Drive the AOP planning and reporting cycle (including the regular forecast) of the newly acquired entity, the future combined entity and the newly setup FA entity through coordination with relevant stakeholders at the group level and local level. Support the identification of additional synergy opportunity of the combined entity
  • Coordinate the scheme of transfer activity through working with relevant work streams in order to achieve the combination of the two insurance manufacturing activity and the following liquidation of one of the insurance manufacturing entity after the completion of scheme of transfer.
  • Surface major finance risks and issues and ensure mitigation plans are developed with the senior management, Programme Management and work streams
  • Support the work stream lead to participate in various meetings with the PMO and functional and line of business leads to bring critical decisions and issues to the Steering Committees and other senior management forums
  • Identify high risk situations and develop mitigation plans for finance, sub-work stream
  • Responsible for the auditability of the programme for finance activities
  • Support the work stream lead to bring together all finance staff from two legal entities together through programme management, including the combination of the balance sheet of the two legal entities, managing the run-off book of the GI block of business
  • Design the relevant team structure and identify the best personnel for the finance function of the combined entity post integration
  • Oversight the implementation of IFRS 17 program (of the two legal entity) and integrated into the combined entity from the perspective of finance, work with group finance to seek dispensation for IFRS 17 preparation
